Oracle Red Bull Racing is here – driven by data, built to win

The defending champion Formula 1 team expands its Oracle partnership, relying on Oracle Cloud to power race strategy, engine development, fan engagement, and more.

Achieving peak performance with Oracle Cloud

How do you top one of the most thrilling Formula 1 seasons of all time? By getting even faster. Oracle Red Bull Racing runs billions of race-strategy simulations on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), helping give drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez their best chances to win.

New car, new challenges

This season brings a completely revamped car design to Formula 1, from new aerodynamics to larger tires to rule changes that will make races even more exciting. See the new RB18 car revealed and hear how Oracle technology helps push racing’s competitive edge.

Speed, scale, and reliability for the win

OCI’s performance allows the Oracle Red Bull Racing team to run real-time analytics throughout every race to help guide strategy decisions. OCI helped the team increase by 25% the number of Monte Carlo simulations it could run. By leveraging a modern technology stack, utilizing the power and flexibility of Kubernetes, they can scale up their simulation platform while keeping costs within the tight spending regulations defined by the sport.

Fans get closer to the action

Using Oracle CrowdTwist Loyalty and Engagement, the team last season launched the The Red Bull Racing Paddock, a platform that lets fans earn points to get exclusive swag and digital downloads. Fans used the The Paddock to redeem 35,000 digital rewards and submit thousands of questions to the team.

Relive the championship

Through 22 races, rival drivers Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton took turns atop the podium and leaderboard, with Verstappen ultimately crowned champion. Oracle was there through every turn.
