Geneva Global’s flagship education program, Speed School, is an accelerated education program that brings out-of-school children aged 9 to 14 back into formal education. Delivering the first three years of primary schooling in ten months, the program regularly sends over 90% of the enrolled children on to government primary school, where they routinely excel. Speed School succeeds by addressing a range of factors such as quality of instruction, relevancy of the curriculum, parental engagement and financial hurdles, among others

Geneva Global has long prioritized the institutional adoption of Speed School by the government and Ministries of Education, building a solid foundation for the program’s sustained and scaled operation. In our two current country contexts, this has meant working with government representatives at all levels to include them in program implementation and slowly shift the ratio of Geneva Global operated to government operated Speed School classes. This collaboration is also inherent to other ways Speed School is customized for each country context such as curriculum reform.

Gender equality and inclusion are at the core of all aspects of Geneva Global’s work in education and all sectors. Beyond aspiring to equal numbers of boys and girls in Speed School classes, we train, supervise, and support facilitators to practice gender equity in all aspects of the classroom and education experience. We also promote school participation, learning, and happiness for children with disabilities by training and supporting facilitators to meet their particular needs and to create a class environment in which all pupils support each other.

Geneva Global produces comprehensive information and documentation from our education activities relying on a combination of our own monitoring and evaluation systems as well as outside, independent research.
