Geneva Global’s roots are in rigorously assessing the potential of the many choices that donors can make with philanthropic capital. We balance a passion for giving with a desire to ensure that every dollar stands the best chance possible of making a difference. This ethos remains at the center of our services.
Effective philanthropy is ultimately rooted in relationships; no single philanthropic endeavor can solve complex social challenges alone. Philanthropy sits at a critical juncture, responding to a dizzying amount of social change and increasing inequity across societies. While it has always been part of our mission to drive giving directly to local communities and social entrepreneurs, we have recommitted ourselves to unlearning the ingrained norms and biases that have defined philanthropy for generations and to contributing to the creation of more equitable systems and structures.
We know philanthropists are on their own learning journeys about these issues – and so are we. We help our clients ask the right questions about their role in a philanthropic ecosystem that can at times exacerbate power imbalances and embrace an approach to giving that is rooted in justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
