Pitchbook Report

Each year, PitchBook, a financial data and software company, complies over a decade’s worth of data into a report for the SXSW Pitch event.

Download the 2022 Report from PitchBook below to explore industry categories and data on standout past participants from the most VC capital raised to most active investors in SXSW companies and more.

Female Founders Making Waves at SXSW Pitch

From 2009-2021, 572 companies participated, with over 82% receiving funding and acquisitions in excess of $14.5 billion.

PitchBook has focused in on the impressive role female founders have played in SXSW Pitch numbers over the years.

In the US VC ecosystem, female founders continue to exit faster and at higher valuations than their all-male counterparts. In fact, 2022 is on pace to be the twelfth straight year that female-founded companies exited faster than the broader market.
