    People don’t realize what a gift is that web standards are developed in the open and are available at no cost for everyone. That’s not – pun intended – the standard. Yet so many chose to ignore the standards anyway.

    Is there anyone active in ISO standardization who also thinks ISO standards should be made publicly available? Please reply or dm me.

    Als ehemaliger Bologna-Büro-Mitarbeiter kommt mir diese Einsicht sehr spät. Toll.

    Today I learned that the relatively small medieval city of Bologna featured around 80-100 really high towers at the same time. A truly bizarre sight reminiscing of modern day Manhattan in a way. Source:

    The news of Sherwin Siy's sudden passing today is incredibly sad. A powerhouse of an intellect, a good person, and someone whose contribution to the public interest Internet is going to be sorely missed. I am a lawyer today because of how much my friend's legal mind inspired me.

    Incredibly tragic news about Sherwin. Retweet to repeat all the positive things Katherine shared about him. An open, kind and welcoming person.

    I am shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden passing of my former colleague, Sherwin Siy. He was just brilliant, and one of the kindest and most thoughtful people you’d ever met. He had this chuckle that could cut the thickest tension, and a way of making everyone feel heard.
