PayPal allows you to use a credit or debit card to make a donation without a PayPal account. After clicking the button below, there will be a link to continue without a PayPal account. Donations sent to our PayPal account without using one of the buttons below will be treated as unrestricted and will most likely be used to support GiveWell's operating costs.
GiveWell (a.k.a. The Clear Fund) is a federally-recognized tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. US donors are able to take tax deductions for donations to GiveWell to the extent permitted by US tax laws. In addition, GiveWell is able to make grants to our recommended charities. Please note that donations to GiveWell are irrevocable and donor requests to grant donations to our recommended charities are subject to our approval (more details on GiveWell's approval process here).

- GiveWell itself does not charge any fees when taking donations for the support of our recommended charities, but PayPal charges standard credit card processing fees.
- Both GiveWell and the charity (or charities) you support will receive confirmation of your gift as well as your contact information and email address. The charities will use your contact information to contact you once to thank you for your gift. GiveWell shares information with its recommended charities periodically and they may not be able to acknowledge your gift for some time. Your information will not be shared with any third parties.
