This is the second commencement of Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine's campus in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona. The ceremony will take place Friday, May 20.

A final 'first' for medical students at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Florida

It has been a year of many firsts for Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine's campus in Jacksonville, Florida. Earlier this spring, the first full cohort of medical students in Florida participated in Match Day for the first time. Now, this Sunday, May 15, that same cohort will help celebrate one more 'first' for the campus. The class of eleven medical students will graduate from Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Florida in its first commencement ceremony at this campus location.

Spotlight on student research: Improving regenerative treatment to heal bones

Growing up as a student athlete in Cincinnati, Joe Panos had more than his fair share of visits to the orthopedist for sports injuries. Now Panos, an M.D.-Ph.D. student at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, is hoping to become an orthopedic surgeon. As part of his education, he is conducting research to improve regenerative treatment for patients whose bones don't heal properly.
