Identified - Some new servers we're deploying in these regions have broken UDP routing (they have a newer kernel, and were deployed with an incompatible version of our XDP routing code). We're fixing these and will update as we go. (If your UDP-using application was working before, it should still be working now, but if you deploy into one of these regions right now you might land on a broken server while we address this).

Remote builder connectivity issues

Monitoring - Connectivity between our API servers and machine mesh has been restored. Remote builders should behave normally now.

Identified - Our API server is experiencing connectivity issues to the NATS mesh we use to send start/stop signals to remote builders. This is preventing some remote machine builders from starting and leaving them in an unexpected state.

Host Instability In Chicago
Resolved - This incident has been resolved.

Several Chicago hosts experienced simultaneous disk failures causing significantly degraded states impacting application performance. These failures additionally prevented some existing apps on the affected hosts from stopping properly, causing deployments for these apps to get stuck in a 'pending' state while their hosts were unresponsive.

The issue was eventually resolved by identifying and repairing the bad disks on all affected hosts, and we will be making improvements to our deployment system to prevent similar stuck-deployment issues from occurring in the future.
