What is a tag?
A tag is a label that you can assign to content posted on re:Post. By tagging content, you make it easier to find specific questions and answers using the Tags menu and search. Follow a specific tag to stay informed on the latest updates.
What is a topic?
A topic is a curated AWS knowledge domain that offers access to content that is aggregated from a set of related AWS technology tags. Topics make it easier to find questions and answers in your area of interest. You can follow a topic to stay informed on the latest updates.
How can I request a new tag on re:Post?
re:Post is regularly updated with new tags relevant to AWS technologies. If you don't see a tag that you think is useful, you can request it by submitting a question and by tagging it with re:Post Discussion. Make sure that the new tag is relevant to AWS technologies, and include the following information in your request: Tag Name – Name of the tag that you are proposing to add to re:Post. Tag Definition – A succinct, easy to understand explanation about the nature of this tag. Tag Information – Provide more information on the type of questions that you expect re:Post users to apply this tag.
What is a Community Group?
A Community Group organizes community members who expressed their interest in a topic. Browse through a set of Community Groups and community members interested in these groups. Follow other community members to stay informed of their activity.

What are community tiers?
re:Post includes 6 community tiers–Beginner, Rising Star, Star, Champion, Sage, and Fellow. When you reach a new tier, you unlock new features on re:Post (for example, the ability to review answers), and we might surprise you with rewards and recognition.
How does the points system work?
re:Post users are awarded with points for demonstrating their AWS knowledge.

AWS certifications and badges
How do I add AWS certifications to my profile?
- Choose Your Expertise (My Dashboard -> Settings -> Your Expertise).
- Under the Certifications category, choose Add new certification
- Enter your AWS certification Credly Badge ID or URL to add it to your re:Post profile and earn reputation points. Note: Your verified email address in re:Post must match the email address attached to the Credly certificate that you are importing.
How does the badging system work?
re:Post includes two types of badges. The first type of badge is an AWS Certification badge. When users link AWS Certifications to their re:Post profile using Credly, certification badges will be imported from Credly. The second type of badge is a Contribution badge. Contribution badges are awarded in the following scenarios:

How do I become a re:Post Expert?
re:Post Expert is a role awarded to community members who build reputation on re:Post by contributing to the community and who are willing to commit their time to review questions and answers for accuracy and freshness. To be eligible to become an expert on re:Post, you must accumulate a minimum of 1,000 reputation points. After you reach 1,000 points, we will reach out to gauge your interest in becoming an expert.

What languages are supported on re:Post?
Currently, re:Post supports only English. In 2022 we plan to roll out multi-language support. We are continuing to work on improvements such as multi-language support, a localized user interface, and the ability to post questions and engage with experts in a selected set of languages.
What happened to AWS Forums?
AWS re:Post is a new, community-driven, question-and-answer service that replaces AWS Forums. If you are an active AWS Forums user, your profile has been migrated to re:Post. You can sign in to re:Post using your AWS credentials, complete your re:Post profile, and verify your email to start asking and answering questions. If you are not an active contributor on AWS Forums, visit re:Post, sign in using your AWS credentials, and create a profile. AWS Forums will become read-only on December 9, 2021, until March 31, 2022. On April 1, 2022, AWS Forums will start redirecting to re:Post.
What happens to my posts on AWS Forums?
The most-viewed question-and-answer threads from AWS Forums have been migrated to re:Post. We plan to migrate more AWS Forums posts in the coming months.
What happens to my reputation points on Forums?
To retain your historical contributions to the AWS community, we have migrated your reputation points to re:Post.
How do I report abuse?
If you believe a post violates re:Post Community Guidelines, the AWS Site Terms, AWS Acceptable Use Policy, or re:Post Terms of Use, follow the steps below to report it:- Sign in to re:Post.
- Open the question or the answer, and then choose the “Flag“ button.
- Select “Inappropriate“ to mark the question or the answer as abusive, and then select “Flag“ to submit.
When should I reach out to re:Post vs AWS Support?
re:Post is a self-service site where you can search an existing knowledge base of technical questions and answers, ask for general guidance to technical questions, and respond to questions asked by other users. For questions that relate to production workloads or that require sharing details of private workloads, product account details, or personally identifying information, you should access AWS Support instead. re:Post is not intended to be used for questions that are time sensitive or involve any proprietary information.
How can I post a question to re:Post that I want to be visible only to experts and not to the public?
All questions and answers posted to re:Post are public. You should open a support case if your question involves sensitive information.
Are there any guidelines to post a question on re:Post?
re:Post provides a secure digital space that fosters best practices and protects its users. Users are required to accept the re:Post Community Guidelines to post any content. Community Guidelines require that users provide thoughtful and accurate information, be respectful to others, do not infringe on the rights of others, and do not post any customer identifiable information or confidential information related to specific workloads or AWS accounts. Any attempt to manipulate re:Post content or features—including contributing false, misleading, or inauthentic information—is strictly prohibited, and users may be barred from using re:Post for violating guidelines.
