Nested routes/layouts was a huge DX improvement missing in Next.js but it's absolutely critical for RSC to enable subtree fetches and streaming! It's a big piece left out of the original Server Components demo. The new Next.js router is designed for RSC.

📣 The Next.js router is getting a major upgrade! ◆ Nested routes / layouts ◆ Client and server routing ◆ React 18 features – startTransition, Suspense ◆ Designed for Server Components ◆ 100% incrementally adoptable 🤯 Expect an RFC very soon 👀

"How do I get the last deployed time of a Vercel project?" Answering questions from the community on GitHub Discussions and found this one interesting – the REST API makes this easy 🙌

Code snippet of getting the last deployed time, see link in the tweet for the accessible version of the code block.

The entire devrel team that I’ve been hanging with here and there has been so inclusive and “come sit with us” energy which I find so incredibly beautiful. As the director of devrel at a small baby company, it inspires me to build something similarly beautiful.

`next/link` will no longer require manually adding `<a>` as a child! This supports both string literals as well as custom React components as children. Starting in the next minor release, you'll be able to opt-into this behavior. PR with more details:

"Hide your vegetables" People want an emotional connection with your content, but you have to entice them to click in. Hiding the vegetables means weaving the intentional/caring part of storytelling into the video instead of leading with the title/thumbnail. h/t

What Prisma did for databases, Contentlayer is doing for content. Contentlayer gives you type-safe access to your markdown or headless CMS. I sat down with the creator (Founder of Prisma) to learn more 🚀
