Unf*cking the future.

We exist to remove CO2 at scale from the atmosphere, stop global warming, fight climate change and protect biodiversity. Step one is planting 50 million trees by 2025. Step two is trialling and deploying complimentary carbon removal technologies – biochar and enhanced weathering – to remove an estimated 10 times more CO2 than through reforestation alone.

Why do we need to remove carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere?

Human activities have led to a build up of CO2 in our atmosphere meaning that our planet is heating up to a dangerous degree. The Paris Agreement set out that we need to keep warming well below 2 degrees to avoid the most disastrous effects of climate change. The damage done is already immense, so in order to meet this we cannot simply rely on decarbonisation (reducing emissions), we must also actively remove CO2.

What have we done so far?

In our first year we have acquired 1500 hectares of land in Scotland, and we’re on our way to planting our first million trees. We’ve started trialling biochar and enhanced weathering on our main site, Glenaros.
