If you wish to allow external contractors to access the College network remotely, they must connect via the Contractor VPN Service. Access to the Contractor VPN service must be sponsored by a full-time College member.

Only Imperial staff and students can access the College network remotely using the standard VPN connection instructions.

Using the Contractor VPN Service

Once an account has been created, the login details will be passed directly to the contractor named on the application form.

The Contractor VPN Service may be used with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.

To use the Contractor VPN Service, follow these steps:

1. Go to https://secureaccess.imperial.ac.uk/contractor.
2. Enter the username and password sent by the ICT Service Desk.

Once connected, the contractor will be able to access a College PC where a local account has been set up from a remote location. Contact your local ICT Service Support Team to discuss setting up a local account.
