    For decades, infrastructure in Illinois has suffered a systemic lack of investment. Through the historic, just-passed infrastructure bill, we will rebuild our aging transportation and water infrastructure & we’ll extend reliable internet to all while creating millions of jobs!

    Thanks to the American Rescue Plan and the leadership of & , more states will be able to follow Illinois’ lead and extend postpartum Medicaid coverage from 60 days to 1 year — an evidence-based policy that will save moms’ lives & advance equity across the United States!

    This is an important step to ensure women get the maternal health care that they need. In December, I launched a Call to Action to improve health outcomes for parents and infants in the United States. We will keep fighting to protect maternal health.
