02/03/17     The London consortium for cryo-electron microscopy (LonCEM)

A new research consortium for cryo-electron microscopy in London, called the LonCEM (London consortium for cryo-EM) and funded by the Wellcome Trust, is being established with a new state-of-the-art microscope that is part of a larger cryo-EM facility located at the Crick Institute.

The consortium consists of a variety of Principal Investigators and potential key users from various institutes including Imperial College London, The Institute of Cancer Research, King’s College London, and Queen Mary University of London. The expected start of operation is in early 2018.
