One out of three people will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. Rather than selling or trading in your used car, truck, SUV, motorcycle, RV, or boat on a trailer, consider donating it to the American Cancer Society. Your car donation will help save lives that might otherwise be lost to the disease by funding lifesaving cancer research, education, advocacy, and free patient service programs.

How to donate a car:

  1. Complete the form
    Complete our easy-to-use online car donation form or call us 1-888-227-5500. We just need some basic info about you, your vehicle and where your vehicle needs to be picked up. If you have any questions about vehicle donation, please visit our FAQ’s.
  2. Arrange a free pick-up time
    Your vehicle can be scheduled for pick up within 24-48 hours after your title has been received by our vehicle donation processing center.
  3. We tow your car
    After a few weeks, you’ll receive the tax deductible receipt that you’ll need for filing your taxes.

To you, it might just be a “hunk of junk”, but your charitable car donation could bring hope to cancer patients. That’s why we work hard to maximize the proceeds of every car donation and accept running and not-running vehicles with transferable titles. Q: What can I donate?

A: We gratefully accept almost all car donations. We also accept donated trucks, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, trailers, and recreational vehicles. If you would like to donate your car, please go to our donation wizard, or call 1-888-227-5500.

Q: How much of the money from the sale of my vehicle goes back to the American Cancer Society?

A: Donating a car or other vehicle to charity can be a confusing decision. Many charity car donation programs promise to help the charities but are run by third-party processors that return very little to the charity. Our partners at Advanced Remarketing Services return a higher percentage than other vehicle processing entities. Q: What documents do I need to donate a car to charity?

A: Our Car Donation Wizard will tell you what is required in your state. Most states require that you have a clear title to the vehicle; some states also require a notarized signature to complete a donation. If you cannot locate or have lost the certificate of title, we can help you obtain the proper documentation.

Q: How do I receive the tax deduction when I donate my vehicle?
