What We Do
Such as food, shelter, and transportation to ensure that no Vermonter is left out in the cold, hungry or alone without a helping hand.
We believe that weatherization and energy efficiency are critical ways that we can build more sustainable communities and alleviate poverty. We provide services, from energy education to weatherization and energy retrofits that save our clients money and help ensure that they are warm and comfortable in their homes.
Moving people out of poverty by supporting entrepreneurs and investing in small business, ensuring our children are ready for school, helping homeowners save energy, supporting healthy local food systems and building the workforce we need for our communities to thrive.
By empowering our partners, program participants and community to ensure their voice is heard, that they are educated on the issues that impact them and that they are able to achieve their goals making the impact they wish to see in the world.
The MileageSmart program is specifically designed to assist Vermonters to buy a used car that gets at least 40 combined MPG.
