Special Education Division, California Department of Education
The Quality Assurance Process page of the Special Education Division provides access to California's State Performance Plan (SPP) and the Annual Performance Reports required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004. The Desired Results Developmental Profile (2015) assessment instrument helps California meet the child outcome indicator of the SPP.

Early Education and Support Division, California Department of Education
The Resources page of the Early Education and Support Division provides access to many key documents for early care and education programs, including the Infant-Toddler Learning and Development Foundations, the Preschool Learning Foundations, the Preschool Curriculum Frameworks, and the California Early Learning Quality Improvement System (CAEL QIS).

Desired Results for Children and Families Training and TA Project
The California Department of Education (CDE), Child Development Division (CDD) has established the Desired Results System to improve program quality in early care and education programs across the state. This website offers a wide variety of downloadable tools and resources for teachers, administrators, trainers, and families to support the achievement of these goals for California's children in state-funded child development programs.

Seeds of Partnership
Seeds of Partnership assists special educators, administrators, staff, and families involved in programs for children with disabilities. We aim to create or provide avenues and tools to increase improvement of partnerships, provide professional development resources, and tools that will assist LEAs seeking to improve their family engagement program practices and educational outcomes. This project is funded by the California Department of Education (CDE), Special Education Division (SED) and is under the auspices of the Sacramento County Office of Education.

California Preschool Instructional Networks (CPIN)
The California Preschool Instructional Network (CPIN) is a project of the California Department of Education, Child Development Division in collaboration with the Center for Child and Family Studies at WestEd and the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA). CPIN provides professional development and technical assistance to preschool teachers and administrators to ensure preschool children are ready for school. The Network is organized into 11 regions of the state that will disseminate information, training and resources to their particular region.

MAP to Inclusion and Belonging’s list of resources for families by county
The California MAP to Inclusion & Belonging website lists resources for families including local Special Education Local Plan Areas (SELPAs), regional centers, Head start programs, and Family Resource Centers. The resources are organized by county for easy access.

Building the Legacy: IDEA 2004
This site was created to provide a "one-stop shop" for resources related to IDEA and its implementing regulations. The site will provide searchable versions of IDEA and the regulations, access to cross-referenced content from other laws (e.g., the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), etc.), video clips on selected topics, topic briefs on selected regulations, links to OSEP's Technical Assistance and Dissemination (TA&D) Network and a Q&A Corner where you can submit questions.

The Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (ECTA)
The Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (ECTA) provides national leadership in assisting states with the implementation of high-quality outcome systems for early intervention and early childhood special education programs. The website provides up-to-date information and resources for state and local administrators, technical assistance providers, teachers and other direct service providers, and families. California is one of six partner states to develop and validate a framework with key components of an early childhood outcomes measurement system.

The Division for Early Childhood (DEC)
The Division for Early Childhood (DEC) is an international membership organization for those who work with or on behalf of young children with disabilities and other special needs. The DEC is one of seventeen divisions of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) - the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted.
