To recover funds allocated in excess of the revised 2008-09 budget act appropriations. - Assistance for Homeless Children and Youth Program (AHCY)
The purpose of the Assistance for Homeless Children and Youth program is to support the provision of immediate services or assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) impacted by the California wildfires in 2017. - California Association of Student Councils
Funding is provided to the California Association of Student Councils to provide leadership development opportunities for financially disadvantaged students. - CARES Act, Learning Loss Mitigation Funding
Federal and state funding provided to LEAs for activities that directly support pupil academic achievement and mitigate learning loss related to COVID-19 school closures. Fund sources include Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act: Governor's Emergency Education Relief (GEER), Section 18002; CARES Act: Coronavirus Relief Fund, Section 5001; and General Fund. - Classified School Employee Professional Development Block Grant
One-time funds to be used for any purpose described in Education Code Section 45391, with first priority being for professional development for the implementation of school safety plans, as set forth in Education Code Section 32280. - Classified School Employee Summer Assistance Program

Funding to help local educational agencies identify homeless children and youth, provide wraparound services that address the multiple effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on homeless children and youth, and ensure that homeless children and youth are able to attend school and participate fully in school activities. - Immediate Aid to Restart School Operations Program (Restart)
The purpose of the Immediate Aid to Restart School Operations Program (Restart) is to assist local educational agencies (LEAs) and non-public schools with expenses related to the restart of elementary and secondary schools in areas where a major disaster or emergency was declared related to the consequences of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and/or Maria or the California Wildfires in 2017. - In-Person Instruction and Expanded Learning Opportunities Grants
State funding provided to local educational agencies and state special schools to assist with offering in-person instruction, and to expand in-person instruction time, provide academic interventions and accelerate progress to close learning gaps. - Low-Performing Students Block Grant
The Low-Performing Students Block Grant (LPSBG) provides funds for local educational agencies serving students identified as low-performing on state English language arts or mathematics assessments, who are not otherwise identified for supplemental grant funding under the Local Control Formula, or eligible for special education services. - Mandate - One-Time Funds for Outstanding Mandate Claims

Funding is awarded to the Kern County Superintendent of Schools, the county office of education selected to partner with the California Department of Education, in support of replacing the Standardized Account Code Structure (SACS) system. - State Special Schools

- 5-5-9 Flexible Categorical Consolidated Payments
Pursuant to the provisions of EC Section 14041, payments for “flexed” categorical programs are to be made in twelve installments beginning in July and ending in June. In order to streamline the payment process, monthly payments for several categorical programs have been consolidated into a single monthly payment. - American Indian Early Childhood Education
These funds may be used for any educational purpose. Formerly, they were restricted to the American Indian Early Childhood Education Program providing direct services to American Indian children, pre-kindergarten through grade four, in reading and math through after school tutorial. - Basic Aid Reduction

Programs for which charter schools may not apply for directly from the state. - Common Core State Standards Implementation Funds
