New Regulations on Campus Sexual Assault

On May 6, 2020, The U.S. Department of Education announced sweeping changes in Title IX, the federal civil rights law that protects people in educational settings from discrimination based on sex. The changes impact how colleges handle sexual assault and sexual harassment complaints. The changes detailed in the 2,000+ page document were required to take effect on August 14, 2020. Adelphi University met the deadline for implementation and has remained in compliance with these regulations.
