Every time police can point to *any data that “crime is up,” NYPD demands more funds. Despite the fact that “crime being up” underscores their own failure to *prevent crime from being up despite a historically high, & ever increasing $11 billion budget.

Their only remaining economic policies, tax cuts for the wealthy and welfare cuts, have been debunked by evidence like 300 times. Seriously, what is a single animator of the modern GOP that is based on a robust read of the evidence?

what really fucks me up is how the city will pull out all the stops to punish this guy while doing nothing to actually help the people who lost loved ones or were shot and hospitalized without insurance. justice should be about healing and not state-sanctioned vengeance .

Americans will spend $31 billion to pay services like Turbo Tax, Intuit, etc. to file taxes this year. The IRS could easily set up a free filing service online but lobbyists have worked hard to prevent that. We deserve simple tax filing options that skip the annual hoodwink.
