Creating an Edutopia account

Why should I create an Edutopia account?
An account will help you get the most from your Edutopia experience. With an account you can personalize the emails we send you to match your interests, such as the grade level you work with. Edutopia accounts are free and we don’t share your information with anyone else. There is no cost to create an account.

How do I sign up for an Edutopia account?
Signing up is quick and easy. If you’re new to Edutopia, you can sign up using your Facebook or Google login. Or, if you prefer, you can use an email and password of your choice. Sign up here.

Does that mean I have an Edutopia account?
No. If you subscribed to our weekly newsletter prior to July 21, 2020, you don’t have an account. To level up, sign up for a free account. It’s the first step to personalizing your newsletter and the Edutopia.org website based on your interests.

I don’t know my username. Can you tell me what it is?
You do not need a username to sign in to Edutopia.org. If you are having trouble, you can try regaining access to your Account Dashboard using your Facebook or Google credentials, or the email address you signed up with.

How do I change my password? What if I forgot it?
To reset your password, go to Sign In and choose Password Reset. Enter your email address and click Get Code. Then, follow the directions to obtain your code and create your new password. 

How do I update my email address?
If you signed up using an email address and password combination, you can update your email address anytime from your account dashboard. When you do, we will send a message to both the old address and the new one to confirm the change. If you signed up using a Google or Facebook account, you cannot edit the email address associated with your Edutopia.org account.

Managing your account

How do I manage my interests?
To see and manage your saved interests, sign in to Edutopia.org and go to your account dashboard.

How do I subscribe to Edutopia’s email newsletter?
When you sign up for an account on Edutopia.org, you can opt in to our weekly email newsletter. You can also manage your email preferences from your account dashboard.

How do I unsubscribe from Edutopia’s email newsletter?
To stop receiving our email newsletter, you can click the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any message. You can also manage your email preferences by going to your account dashboard.

How do I delete my account?
Before you go, there are a few things you should know. If you want to unsubscribe from Edutopia’s email newsletter or change your email address, you do not need to delete your account. You can make those changes from your account dashboard. If you want to completely deactivate your account, your email subscriptions and all saved interests will be deleted. While there is no way to reactivate an account once it has been deleted, you can always create a new one.
