Athira is a member of the Telecommunications, Media and Technology and Intellectual Property practice groups at the multi-skilled, research-based international law firm Nishith Desai Associates. She presently advises domestic and international clients on various regulatory and transactional issues related to intellectual property protection, cybersecurity and gaming. She has handled high-profile commercial litigations and corporate law issues during her time as an in-house counsel at the Mumbai International Airport. She obtained her legal degree in 2019 from National Law University, Jodhpur with honors in Intellectual Property Laws. She has worked as an editor with journals such as Trade, Law and Development and the Comparative Constitutional Law and Administrative Law Journal. As a student, she was also a convener of the Centre for Policy and Research in International Law. She is enrolled with the State Bar Council of Kerala and is licensed to practice in India.
