Welcome to Postpartum Support International – Utah Chapter!

Pregnancy & Parenting can be rough. Finding help shouldn’t be.

You’ve found the source for help, information, and resources about Maternal Depression and Anxiety.

As a state chapter of Postpartum Support International, PSI Utah offers free phone and email support provided by mothers who have experienced and healed from emotional health complications around pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, miscarriage and loss, as well as helpful local resources and referrals.

We bring mothers with lived experience together with medical, mental health and allied professionals in our communities. Our mission is to expand social support for those experiencing perinatal mood or anxiety disorders and to exchange ideas and form relationships to increase and improve awareness, prevention, detection, and treatment of maternal mental health conditions in Utah.

Our goal is to ensure that every woman in Utah receives information on risk, prevention, and treatment of pregnancy and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, affecting at least 13% of Utah moms.

We welcome all races, religions, nationalities, sexual orientations and genders.

PSI UT values diversity and is a place of inclusion.

We believe that Mom’s Mental Health Matters!

If you or someone you care about is in crisis

Looking for a therapist or other provider trained in Maternal Mental Health?? PSI Utah proudly partnered with the Department Of Health to create the Maternal Mental Health referral Network:

See the above link for providers in your area across Utah. For one on one help, call one of our PSI coordinators listed under “resources for families” or Call Help me Grow Utah. Call or text HMG at (801) 691-5322. The HMG staff will give callers a brief perinatal depression/anxiety screening called the EPDS, offer options for free support groups and/or trained therapists in their area as well as provide follow up after the call.

For more information on local and national resources for pregnancy and postpartum mental health call our Helpline at 1-800-944-4773, text 503-894-9453, or visit www.postpartum.net
