Vaccination

Diseases that can be prevented by vaccines remain major causes of illness and death for people of all ages in the United States.

On-time vaccination throughout childhood helps provide immunity before children are exposed to potentially life-threatening diseases. Vaccinations later in life are important because immunity from childhood vaccines can wear off over time and adults are also at risk for different diseases.
