About Infectious Diseases Society of America Education

Lifelong learning for health care professionals interested in infectious disease updates developed by experts.

The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) is a community of over 12,000 physicians, scientists and public health experts who specialize in infectious diseases. Founded in 1963, IDSA aims to improve the lives of individuals, communities and society by advancing quality patient care, providing information and knowledge, helping drive research, championing ID physicians and promoting public health.

Although progress has been made to eradicate or control many infectious diseases, humankind remains vulnerable to a wide array of new and resurgent organisms. Educating health care professionals about antimicrobial stewardship is critical to combatting antimicrobial resistance. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is especially important to learn from experts regarding the management and care of patients, managing teams and health disparities. The IDSA education available on the AMA Ed Hub meets these needs.
