Correction on Jun 15, 2021: A previous version of this story misstated how many wellheads are in the city of Arlington, Texas. There are hundreds of wellheads in the city and thousands in Tarrant County.
Correction on Apr 8, 2020: An earlier version of this story incorrectly identified the Families First Coronavirus Response Act as the House’s version of the CARES Act. It was a separate piece of legislation.
Correction on Mar 2, 2020: An earlier version of this story stated that 1,000 homes had been demolished. That total included both demolished and repaired homes.
Correction on Jul 16, 2019: This story has been updated to describe more precisely the location of the Carrizo Springs emergency shelter.
Correction on Jun 10, 2019: An earlier version of this story, citing information from McMillian’s First Step Academy, listed Percy W. Reed as the school’s current principal. Reed says he was principal only for six months between January and July 2016.
Correction on Nov 8, 2018: An earlier version of this story stated that Tony Cox has no medical training. Although he has no medical degree, he applies his risk analyses to health issues. He also helped a tobacco company research “how” smoking causes lung diseases, not “whether” it does. We also added why he told a conference audience that there is no link between air pollution and asthma and heart attacks – because his work suggests other factors could be involved.
Correction on Sep 5, 2019: A previous version of this map cited the incorrect federal program under which unaccompanied migrant children are housed and supervised.

Correction on Dec 7, 2017: Correction: A previous version of this story misstated the name of a federal customs and border agency. It is U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Correction on Nov 21, 2017: Correction: A previous version of this story misstated Heartbeat International's lobbying expenditures for the four-year period leading up to 2015. The organization spent $106,139 during that period.
Correction on Nov 17, 2017: Correction: An earlier version of this story misstated how many Russia-linked accounts had tweeted about Pizzagate. It was at least 14.
Correction on Nov 7, 2017: Correction: An earlier version of this story misstated Michelle Leiva's grade level for her sex education class. She was in middle school at the time.
Correction on Feb 2, 2018: Correction: A researcher says a previous version of this story misstated some findings in unpublished research related to the Navajo Birth Cohort Study. A significant number of those tested, including babies, carried concentrations of uranium in their bodies far above the U.S. average. Babies who had uranium in their system at birth tended to show increased concentrations through the first year of life.

Correction on Dec 1, 2015: Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated the amount that the U.S. Department of Agriculture's livestock disaster program paid out to Nevada cattle and sheep ranchers in 2014. It was actually about $54 million.
Correction on Dec 3, 2015: Correction: A previous version of this story misstated when Derek Wright began living at Lakeview NeuroRehabilitation Center. He became a resident at the facility in 2013.
Correction on Oct 2, 2015: Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly identified the model of Jim Schaff’s gun. It is a Glock 22 pistol.
Correction on Sep 22, 2015: Correction: In a previous version of this story, a photo caption incorrectly identified the man Candace Conti accused of sexually abusing her. He was a member of the North Fremont congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The story also incorrectly stated the number of child sexual abuse allegations against Jehovah's Witnesses in Australia; investigators uncovered abuse allegations against 1,006 members in the country since 1950.
Correction on Aug 31, 2015: Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated the circumstances surrounding Waqar Khan's election to the board of the Islamic Society of East Bay. Khan claims that he was elected twice.
Correction on Jun 16, 2015: Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated who is required to file discharge reports in California. Both security guard employers and employees are required to file the reports.
