Marie E. Christiansen is an Associate in the Los Angeles office of Vedder Price and a member of the firm’s Litigation group.
Ms. Christiansen focuses her practice on government investigations and securities litigation. She has represented public companies, startups, hedge funds, and officers and directors in a wide range of matters, including shareholder class actions, corporate dissolution disputes, and securities fraud actions and investigations by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
Ms. Christiansen also has experience in complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels. She has counseled clients on matters involving breaches of contract, breaches of fiduciary duty, fraud, defamation and tortious interference. She also has represented individuals and corporations in a variety of intellectual property disputes and data privacy matters.
Prior to joining Vedder Price, Ms. Christiansen worked at law firms in New York City, where she was recognized as a Rising Star in Business Litigation by Super Lawyers. While in law school, she was Executive Editor of the Duke Journal of Gender Law and Policy and received an award for completing over 500 hours of public interest work.
