Clinical Education from The Jackson Laboratory featured on the AMA Ed Hub enables clinicians to practice skills to identify patients likely to benefit from genetic evaluation, assess the benefits and limitations of genetic and genomic tests, apply test results to patient management, and navigate ethical issues in genomic medicine.

In each of the featured modules, you will have the opportunity to:

Precision Medicine for Your Practice Series

This is a series of eight CME modules on the clinical applications of genetic testing developed through a collaboration with the American Medical Association (AMA), JAX and Scripps Research Translational Institute.

Cancer Genetic Clinical Education Series

This series of 11 modules on cancer genetics are 15 minutes in length, case-based and help build clinical skills that impact patient care. Topics include assessing cancer risk using family history information, managing patients with increased cancer risk, genetic testing for breast cancer, genetic testing for colon cancer, and many others.

One in ten individuals has a family history of cancer that needs further investigation. Do you know which of your patients these are? Genetic testing can help prevent or diagnose cancer early, but not everyone is a good candidate. Do you know which of your patients are likely to benefit from genetic testing?

Hereditary Cancer Syndromes: Are your patients at risk?

This CME program helps oncology providers identify, evaluate, and manage patients at increased risk of hereditary cancer syndromes. Topics include assessing whether a cancer patient is a good candidate for germline genetic testing, delivering pre-test counseling, selecting the best test, interpreting genetic test results, and managing patients based on genetic test results.
