Brooke Wilner, a registered patent attorney, enjoys a varied trial and appellate litigation practice. She practices before U.S. district courts, state courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC), and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC).
Brooke represents both patent owners and accused infringers across a broad range of mechanical and electrical technologies, including clients in the aerospace, automotive, consumer products, software, and hardware industries. She has represented clients from pre-litigation counseling through motions practice and appeal. Brooke’s practice further extends to protecting and enforcing clients’ trademarks and copyrights, as well as defending accused infringers. Her experience ranges from client counseling to oppositions and cancellations before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), as well as complex trademark and copyright infringement litigations before U.S. district courts.
In law school, Brooke distinguished herself through oral and written advocacy, serving on her school’s Moot Court Board and as an associate editor of the Georgia State University Law Review. She earned two Best Oralist awards as part of the championship team at a national moot court competition. Brooke’s academic efforts also garnered her the Moot Court Board’s Best Competitor award, as well as national membership in The Order of Barristers.
Brooke is passionate about giving back through her pro bono practice. She graduated from law school with the Highest Pro Bono & Public Service Distinction for her work with the school’s Public Interest Law Association. While at Finnegan, Brooke has represented multiple disabled military veterans, challenging disability compensation decisions on appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
