Coronavirus Updates
Our Clubs, Societies and Projects are undoubtably going to look a little different in the year ahead, but the Student Activities and Development Team are working hard with CSPs to ensure whether activities are online, or in person they are safe and offer great opportunities for this academic year.
FAQs
Where can I find a list of all Clubs, Societies and Projects (CSPs)?
A comprehensive list of all of our current CSPs that you can get involved with this academic year can be found here, click on a CSP to read more about the activities they carry out, check out if they have any links to social media accounts under the contact section and try your best to remember which you like the look of for our Welcome Fair.
How can I join a Club, Society or Project?
We are currently working with CSP committee members to set membership fees for this academic year, with potential for reduced in person activity in mind. By the start of September these should be established, so if you’ve already decided by then which CSP you want to be a part of you can purchase your membership through the Union Shop before you arrive. Don’t worry if you’re unsure though, there will be plenty of chance at our Welcome Fair to find out more information about each CSP, chat to the current committee members and join their mailing list to keep updated throughout the year.
Where can I find more information about Welcome Fair?
Welcome Fair 2020 is the biggest event of Welcome and is your chance to meet every one of our over 380 Clubs, Societies & Projects. For more information look here.
How will in person activities look this year?
We are currently working to establish how CSPs can carry out activities this year in person, if government guidance remains as it is in person activities will be permitted with reduced capacity, track and trace and other measures to ensure the safety of all attending.
