About the Long research group

Research in the group focuses on synthetic inorganic and organometallic chemistry, and the formation and study of new transition metal and lanthanide complexes.

The new compounds will all have a function and application, and major programmes of research lie in the areas of:

Catalysis and Green Chemistry (homogeneous catalysis, ligand design),

Biomedical Imaging (imaging probe and biomarker design),

Functional Materials (electronic and conducting metal compounds).

Applications from prospective researchers who wish to join the group are welcomed at the postgraduate and postdoctoral level throughout the year. Applicants should contact Nick directly, including a covering letter, a CV and the names and contact details of two referees.
