Special Institutions

Through the Office of the Assistant Secretary (OAS) for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, OSERS administers programs that support these four institutions:

• American Printing House for the Blind

• Gallaudet University

• Helen Keller National Center

• National Technical Institute for the Deaf

Transition

OSERS established a Transition Steering Committee to focus on the services, needs, and outcomes of youth with disabilities as they transition to postsecondary education and employment.
