Creating a connection between businesses and schools.
Introduced to the community more than a decade ago by the Napa Valley Vintners and Napa County Office of Education, the Adopt A School program seeks to engage, motivate and recognize businesses that partner with local schools to further enhance the educational experience for students and make a positive impact on the Napa Valley community.
Supported by a steering committee that includes representatives from the Napa Valley Vintners, Visit Napa Valley, NapaLearns, the Napa County Office of Education and the five Napa County school districts and other local service organizations like the Rotary Club that represent business constituencies, the Adopt A School program is expanding.
How can your business or community organization adopt a school? Go to the AAS website or contact coordinator Karen Zimolzak at adoptaschool@napalearns.org or 707.948.6484
In 2000 Napa Valley Vintners adopted Napa High School and we continue to evolve our relationship.

• 9th & 10th Grade College Exploration
Ninth and tenth grade student success is highly predictive of graduation. Exposing students to college field trips with their teachers helps students understand the "why" behind the academics while supporting a positive school culture. In addition to seeing what college looks like, when students attend field trips with their teachers and other students, it strengthens relationships. Research shows that when students have positive relationships with their teachers and other students, student success increases, particularly for those who are traditionally underserved.
