The Technology Steering Committee provides the following:
1) Security: Increase awareness to the County Superintendents on issues and challenges related to protecting student/staff data privacy and cyberinfrastructure. This will include California K12 Cybersecurity Framework, Student Data Privacy, and professional development opportunities.
2) Connectivity Beyond the Classroom: With the rapid adoption of digital resources by students and teachers, obtaining access to these tools beyond the classroom may pose significant challenges to schools. Inform the County Superintendents about strategies to address the equity and access gap and potential service delivery models.
3) Statewide Technology Leadership, Technical Assistant and Professional Development: Identify potential areas of statewide leadership in the area of technology and equity to help inform legislative committees on technology issues facing schools.
