NapaLearns is excited to be part of the CanDo’s Give!Guide again this year

Napa Valley CanDo‘s Give!Guide was created to raise funds and awareness for local nonprofits, foster collaboration among them, and enlarge the pool of Napa Valley donors by making it extraordinarily easy to give. Donations to NapaLearns made through the Give!Guide will be matched by the Bank of Marin.

2020 IN REVIEW

Innovative Teachers Lead Change

We reached another milestone with more than 170 teachers in Napa County becoming NapaLearns Fellows, achieving their master’s degrees in Innovative Learning. The educational technology groundwork laid by NapaLearns Fellows led the way as school districts were forced to distance learning. Learn more!

Digital Innovators 

We launched a Distance Learning Series together with Napa County Office of Education and Learnshift, a brain trust of NapaLearns Fellows, to help their colleagues migrate to online teaching. More than 400 teachers participated in professional development sessions to move their teaching practices online. Learn more!

NapaLearns Virtual Career Academy Launches

The NapaLearns Virtual Career Academy took off with nearly 100 participants enrolled with the goal to earn certifications in high demand, high tech jobs. With the support structure we’ve put in place, we’re seeing 4 times the completion rate of other online technology courses. One of the silver linings of COVID-19 is that with these digital skills, students can live and work here in Napa Valley for companies located anywhere. Learn more!

NapaLearns Receives North Bay Business Journal Nonprofit Leadership Award

Our fearless leader, Peg, was honored by the North Bay Business Journal with one of its Nonprofit Leadership Awards for how NapaLearns addressed the impact of COVID-19 in Napa County. Please join us for the recognition celebration on December 15th, 5:00pm.

NCOE and NapaLearns Share Golden Bell Award 

Lastly, we are pleased to announce that together with the Napa County Office of Education we received the California School Board Association Golden Bell Award for our Digital Innovator initiative. It is in these innovative digital classrooms where student performance improves, allowing them to reach for their dreams. Learn more!
