    They’ll continue to pollute the Earth and hoard wealth because they believe they’ll survive the climate crisis. Theres an inhuman evil in these billionaires, oil company CEOs, etc that the death of billions doesn’t matter as long as they survive and don’t have to give up an inch

    It is hard to figure out the right rhetorical attitude to take as the world burns. It sucks to be the "don't you dare be ironic or funny" asshole. On the other hand, I'd like to not die, and I'd like for the people I love to not die. I might go overboard about this.

    There's a lot of truth to what you're saying, though. The faux-outraged "HOW DARE YOU" and/or "ONLY MONSTERS DISAGREE WITH ME" both have this edge to them these days. And given what inspires genuine outrage these days (the "anti" discourse in fandom comes to mind)...
