    The 39th-annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service was held Sunday in Tallahassee. In memory of our fallen troopers, Lt. Daniel D. Hinton, Tpr. Tracy Vickers and Tpr. Joseph Bullock, killed in the line of duty, each's name was added to the memorial wall this year.

    FHP remembers Alvin V. Kohler who died in the line of duty on September 19, 1978. Trooper Kohler died in the line of duty as a result of a gunshot. At the time of his death, Trooper Kohler was 23 years old and had served the residents of Florida for 1 year.

    FHP remembers Frederick J. Groves, Jr. who died in the line of duty on September 18, 1984. Trooper Groves died in the line of duty as a result of a gunshot. At the time of his death, Trooper Groves was 41 years old and had served the residents of Florida for 14 years.
