    Trp. Adams arrested a driver this afternoon for during . The driver had been called in for speeding / driving recklessly and nearly crashed into the guard rail when the traffic stop was initiated! The PBT indicated 0.30 BAC.

    Today during , we conducted a Trooper In A Truck selective. Chief Industries sponsored the selective working between Wood River and Giltner. Troopers were focusing on risky driving behaviors from all vehicles.

    What started as a no seatbelt stop revealed a false logbook. CMV drivers are reminded to properly log their stop locations and get their rest periods before starting to drive.

    During , the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance and members target dangerous driving behaviours by commercial motor vehicles (CMV) drivers and other motorists with whom they share the road, to help pave the way to safer roads. ^mg

    (July 11-17) is underway. Officers will be tracking their interactions with passenger vehicle drivers and CMV drivers and will submit a report to CVSA at the end of the week. CVSA will publicly report its findings in the fall.

    Remember, although inspections will still be conducted concurrently, (July 11-17) is a safe-driving initiative, not an inspection blitz. Officers will be on the lookout for unsafe passenger-vehicle drivers and CMV drivers.
