Ogletree Deakins is a proud partner of The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). The LPGA is the longest running professional women’s sports organization in the world. The association celebrates a diverse and storied membership with more than 2,300 members representing more than 30 countries. LPGA Professionals directly impact the game through teaching, coaching and management.
The LPGA provides many diverse opportunities for women to be inspired and motivated through the game of golf and beyond. The association demonstrates its dedication to the development of the game through The LPGA Foundation. Since 1991, this charitable organization has been committed to empowering and supporting girls and women through developmental, humanitarian and golf community initiatives, including LPGA*USGA Girls Golf, the LPGA Women’s Network, and the LPGA Amateur Golf Association.
Our partnership is focused on the LPGA’s Women’s Empowerment Day, which emphasizes leadership, self-discovery, and the art of communication, and Women’s Leadership Days, which foster and create business relationships by providing an exclusive and engaging forum for like-minded professional women.
The partnership with the LPGA builds upon Ogletree Deakins’ mission to empower women, including the Ogletree Deakins Women’s Initiative (ODWIN). ODWIN serves as a resource to enhance the Firm’s commitment to its women attorneys by creating and fostering an environment of inclusiveness through active involvement in the Firm’s business development, recruitment, retention, and educational awareness efforts as they relate to women attorneys at the firm.
“This is a very fun and unique way to drive our women’s initiatives at the firm,” said Kerri Reisdorff, chair of Ogletree Deakins’ Women’s Initiative and a shareholder in the firm’s Kansas City office. “To partner with the LPGA on a multi-dimensional platform focused on leadership, professional development, and growth with a focus on the game of golf is an exciting opportunity for our firm.”
