Dream Project Scholarship

Application Open Now - Closes Feb 1st

We are the Dream Project

The Dream Project empowers students whose immigration status creates barriers to higher education. We start our program in high school and continue through college graduation into professional life. Students are supported through a strong network of mentoring, scholarships, and family engagement. Our start-up nonprofit  has created an intentionally inclusive community where students are encouraged to use education as a vehicle to pursue their dreams and achieve their fullest potential.

The Dream Project Scholarship Awards Ceremony

Image
Once a year, we hold our Scholarship Awards Ceremony in which we give out scholarships to support our Dreamers' pursuit of college education. There is perhaps no better moment to witness the impact of your support and our work, and the accomplishments of our students, than this awards ceremony.

Check out our wonderful lineup:

  • Cheick Hamala Diabate: Traditional African Music.
  • GenOUT Chorus: The Youth Choir of the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, D.C.
  • Marcelo and his Charango: Traditional Andean Music.
  • Dreamer Stories: Dreamers take the stage to share their powerful stories.

The ceremony will be held June 14th at 7:00pm at Wakefield High School.

Support the Dream Project

When the Dream Project began, undocumented students struggled to find support and funding to pursue a college education. Thanks to the generous donations of community members, the Dream Project has empowered hundreds of students and families to overcome the barriers they face because of their immigration status.

When I received the Dream Project Scholarship I sat in silence for a good 20 minutes. I couldn’t believe it… I felt as if it was a sign from the universe that I would make it through.
