Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) keeps clinicians and researchers up to date on the transmission, prevention, diagnosis, natural history and treatment of STIs and HIV. This includes existing and emerging infections where sexual transmission plays a role, as well as related aspects of sexual health.

The journal publishes original research, reviews, editorials and correspondence on the clinical, translational, laboratory, public health and sociological aspects of infections from around the world. STI also publishes a blog and podcasts to promote wider communication and dissemination of new developments in the field.

STI is an official journal of the British Association of Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH).

STI and HIV 2021 World Congress: taking virtual and accessibility to another level

"Sexual Diversity and the City" is the theme of this "very special edition" of the STI & HIV 2021 World Congress. People from all walks of life are welcomed and some being able to participate for free! Sexually Transmitted Infectionsis the official journal of theSTI & HIV 2021 World Congress, held as a virtual event on 14-17 July. The mission is to address diversity, health, and sexuality in the urban context. This bi-annual meeting is organised by the International Society for STD Research (ISSTDR) in collaboration with the International Union against STI World (IUSTI World) and is dedicated to STI in its broadest sense.

STI & HIV 2021 World Congress

STI was delighted to be the official journal of the STI & HIV 2021 World Congress, which was held as a virtual event on 14-17 July. “Sexual diversity and the city” was this year’s theme and the mission was to address diversity, health and sexuality in the urban context. The conference abstracts were published as a supplement to STI and are free to access. You can also listen to our podcast with the conference organisers.

 

STI Editor-in-Chief Anna Maria Geretti ran a session called "Appraising the evidence to guide clinical practice: Tips & tricks from the experts". If you missed it, you can access the session online via the conference website until mid-October.
