Medical Humanities is led by Dr Brandy Schillace, the journal publishes scholarly and critical articles on a broad range of topics. These include history of medicine, cultures of medicine, disability studies, gender and the body, communities in crisis, bioethics, and public health.

2021 Medical Humanities Focus: Equity, Accessibility, and Justice

The COVID-19 pandemic has rendered problems of accessibility, rights and freedoms more visible than ever before.
There can be no “getting back to normal,” because “normal” - particularly in terms of health access - has never been good enough. This year we continue to seek submissions that raise issues of accessibility, social justice, and global health humanities. We also want to hear from the disabled community, from LGBTQIA, and from those fighting for equity through Black Lives Matter.
