Faherty is a family-run business fueled by purpose and optimism. Our goal: to build a new American legacy by creating high-quality, sustainably-minded, feel-good favorites that will bring you joy to wear.

Alex Faherty

Prior to starting at Faherty, Alex spent over a decade in finance and private equity. Formerly a football player at Yale, Alex takes a coaching mentality in how he runs the business, knowing that so much of a brand's success is who makes up the team. He lives with his wife, Kerry Docherty, and their two children in Brooklyn. When he has time (and isn't at the playground), he likes to surf.

Kerry Docherty

A lawyer with a background in human rights and mindfulness, Kerry uses Faherty's platform to create community and conversation through the event series, Sun Sessions, which spotlights good people doing good work. She loves to write, and her first children's book will be published by Flamingo in 2022. She and her husband, Alex (whom she met in college), live in Brooklyn with their two kids.

Mike Faherty

Mike spent almost a decade learning his craft under Ralph Lauren and majored in Fashion Design at Washington University in St. Louis. His passion is in fabric design and exploring innovative blends to create the perfect hand-feel. He, his wife, and their new baby live in Brooklyn. In his free time, Mike loves playing basketball and finding off-the-beaten-track surf spots and restaurants.

Committed to the Planet

We recognize the impact the fashion industry has on the world, and we’re dedicated to being better stewards of the planet.

Our Products

77% of our materials are sustainable fibers like organic cotton, ethically sourced cashmere, recycled polyester, linen, and hemp. We strive to use non-toxic dyes and water-efficient processes. We’ve replaced our recycled poly packaging with an eco-friendly paper bag and will be 90% plastic-free by the end of 2021.

Our Partners

We’re always learning, growing, and looking for ways to improve how we do business. As part of that ongoing quest, we’ve partnered with a number of organizations committed to making the world a better place.

Native Partnerships

Faherty is proud to partner with Native artists whose work and wisdom are an integral reminder of our universal connection to the land and to each other. Our ongoing collaborations with Doug Good Feather (Lakota) and Bethany Yellowtail (Crow/Cheyenne) support their work and their communities.

A Second U

Hector Guadalupe, the founder of A Second U, has been a close friend and trainer to Faherty for years. We participate in and support this incredible program, which has worked with and placed 197 formerly incarcerated men and women in the personal training industry — with no re-offenders.
