I have been involved with STOLA as a volunteer, regional coordinator, and a board member for the past 13 years. Not only am I a huge supporter, but I have been fortunate enough to foster many Salukis and honored to have adopted several over the years. STOLA's unwaivering support of their volunteers and the decisions that are made specifically with the best interest of the Salukis in mind, make this an exemplary organization, in my opinion.

As a founding Board Member of STOLA for the past 13 years I can attest to how dedicated our volunteers and Board of Directors are. Boards are required to meet monthly in most cases. At STOLA the Board communicates almost every day by phone or email to keep on top of issues, in addition to formal monthly meetings. Our volunteers are amazing, selfless, tireless, generous people who often put themselves in harm's way to protect and serve Saluki hounds. I have worked with many people in many walks of life but I could not hope to find a more dedicated and wonderful group of people. I am humbled to be a part of this wonderful organization. All STOLA members are unsalaried volunteers and most have been with us since the beginning.
I have been involved with STOLA both as a volunteer and served as Tresurer for five years. This is the most well run non-profit I have ever been associated with, and I have worked for several very large organizations. They have a wonderful network of volunteers who can prioritize and organize for the rescued and surrendered Salukis benefit. Their work is selfless and their fundraising ideas are novel. I have been around for large rescues and the organization worked as a well-oiled machine. Donating to STOLA would benefit both the dogs they serve and the donor knowing they had done the "right" thing.
Been donating to STOLA since it's inception after the national club's rescue closed. STOLA is a very professionally run non-profit whose innovative fund-raising endeavors have provided a strong financial base that operates consistently well. When hoarders are found and stopped, STOLA is there to care for the neglected. And they offer educational information on their website, stola.org.
