Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms work with the 2 most recent versions of the following browsers (unless specified otherwise). Make sure cookies and JavaScript are turned on for your browser.
- Chrome
- Firefox
- Windows only: Microsoft Edge
- Mac only: Safari
Other browsers may work, but you might not be able to use all of the features.
Computer operating systems
Drive for desktop
You can download and use Drive for desktop on these operating systems:
- Windows:
- Windows 7 and up
- Windows Server 2012 and up
Check which version of Windows you have.
- Mac:
- El Capitan 10.11 and up.
- For High Sierra 10.13 and up, follow these steps.
Check which version of MacOS you have.
- Linux: Drive for desktop isn't available for the Linux operating system. You can use Google Drive on the web.
Important:
- To edit with real-time presence in Microsoft Office, you need Office 2010 or up.
- Drive for desktop support for Apple M1 devices is in Beta.
- Drive for desktop doesn't support Windows ARM-based devices.
