It's been three full weeks of school and it's a joy to watch students, teachers, and staff reconnecting with each other. As your superintendent, I continue to be inspired by the fortitude and commitment of NVUSD employees and our surrounding community. I am also grateful for the compassion and support I received when I first announced my breast cancer diagnosis back in February. This is especially true on a personal level as I focus on healing from my own health issues, which took a turn a few weeks ago but are now back on track. Unfortunately, I needed an additional surgery related to my previous cancer and the great news is that once again, my team of doctors at UCSF led me to a successful outcome! READ MORE |
