    This is the proudest moment of my professional life. This vote will end homelessness for 2,400 households. Thank you to those who voted yes and those who raised their voice. 2,400 more of our neighbors will now have a safe place to call home because of this vote.

    Our liberation is bound up in the liberation of our neighbors. Jews, if you are celebrating sukkot, please also take action to end homelessness, fund housing programs, and stop the criminalization of homelessness.

    (and will offer many ppl housing), & enact a "no camping zone" which will criminalize homelessness & further displace ppl. This process will continue around DC as well. As we move into our spiritual huts, real ppl in their real tent homes are being forcibly removed by DC.

    DC continues to criminalize homelessness.

    DC Dep mayor John Falchiccio says residents will not be able to pitch a tent in Franklin Park where many homeless residents live. No camping will be enforced but he’s not sure If the downtown bid will post an effective date.

    D.C. will begin to offer housing and other services to residents living in homeless encampments that the city plans to clear. Some advocates aren't fully convinced of the program's effectiveness.
