    On the day released a report documenting nearly 3800 incidents of anti-Asian hate during the pandemic - nearly 70% against Asian women - a man killed 8 in shootings targeting Asian businesses. Six of the 8 killed were Asian women.

    Love to our Asian sisters who have faced a disproportionate amount of violence and hate in recent attacks on the Asian community. We cannot ignore the nexus between racism and misogyny that harms and violates women and girls of color.

    He targeted Asian women at a massage parlor in the red light district. He knew the kind of power he was maneuvering there & exploited it accordingly. This, & too many other cases of male violence, is a direct consequence of racism + male sexual entitlement

    When Asian/Asian-Am women say hypersexualization is not a compliment, to stop fetishizing us, it’s because our grandmothers survived this in the form war, rape, trafficking, US militarism, and sex tourism. The commodification of women is a tenet of US imperialism.
