Indians on Vacation by Thomas King among 10 books longlisted for $15K Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour

The prize is awarded to the most humorous Canadian book of the year. The three finalists will be announced on May 3, 2021, with the winner being announced on June 4, 2021.

Visually impaired Victoria author writes book for teens about the lives of people with disabilities

A Victoria-based writer who lost most of her vision by the age of 12 due to cancer is hoping to put an end to stereotypes about people with disabilities, by fostering more understanding and demystifying disability through a new non-fiction book for teens.
