Import prices increase 1.3% in February on higher fuel prices; export prices rise 1.6%

Prices for U.S. imports increased 1.3 percent in February following a 1.4-percent advance in January. Export prices rose 1.6 percent in February, after increasing 2.5 percent the previous month. Over the past year, import prices advanced 3.0 percent and export prices rose 5.2 percent.
